Customised aerosol plants

Many production activities lead to the production and dispersion of dust in the work environment and external air: quarries, mines, building and road work sites, tunnels, treatment of waste, foundries, cement works, etc... These are often dusts that are dangerous to health due to the presence of chemical and biological agents. This is the reason their suppression is recognised by the Standards in force regarding safety of the workers in the work place and protection of the environment. Sometimes it is necessary to intervene on precise points, where the generation of dusts and relative suppression is much easier and effective. For this reason, all of the fixed aerosol plants are customised depending on the various problems of the plant.

The customised aerosol plants allow to effectively suppress the thermal dust in all types of processes i.e. screens, shearing machines, kilns, etc.

The sensors intercept the presence of the blade and suppress the dust formed while the material is unloaded from the hopper.

The basic aerosol plant is made up from:
  • High pressure pump;
  • Atomising nozzles;
  • Eventual control board (with possible automation of the supply system);
  • Water filter;
  • PLC-controlled solenoid valves (to divide the plant into several work areas).

Advantages:

  • Easy assembly
  • Can be adapted to every type of machine, dimension and mechanical shape
  • Possibility of remote control/command
  • Possibility of intermittent or pause/work operation
  • Possibility to work on several adjacent areas with a unique feeding pump
  • Does not wet the material
  • Less water consumption

What is it
It is made up from a system of nozzles (quantity suitable for the area to atomise) with hole dimensions of 0.2 to 0.5 mm and fed by a high pressure pump (from 50 to 90 bar). Very fine drops of water are generated in this way (aerosol), which disperse into the air, thus covering a large area. Much less water is consumed in this way and a great number of dust particles are captured at the same time without creating puddles.

How
Installation is very simple; a line (piping) for the passage of water must be set-up in the area to be controlled. All of the nozzles and relative fittings will be positioned on the line and they must be connected to the high pressure feed pump. A group of suitable filters will be installed to prevent the occlusion of the small holes in the nozzles.
