Many production activities lead to the formation and dispersion of dust in the work environment and external air: quarries, mines, building and road work sites, tunnels, treatment of waste, foundries, cement works, etc... These are often dusts that are dangerous to health due to the presence of chemical and biological agents. This is the reason their suppression is recognised by the Standards in force regarding safety of the workers in the work place and protection of the environment.
Use of the V3 ventilated aerosol generator is the ideal solution for eliminating these dusts at the source. Using a high pressure circuit, special nozzles and an industrial fan, this system produces and diffuses finely atomized water. The aerosol produced is projected by the fan to distances even exceeding 15 metres.As well as vertical regulation, the V3 can be fitted with an automatic horizontal swinging system in order to maximise the area covered. The "mist" produced by V3 has high persistence in air and can suppress the airborne dust particles by making use of the "washout" phenomenon. On the other hand, the microscopic dimensions of the water drops make the wetting effect of surfaces or workers exposed almost un-noticeable.
The effectiveness of these systems, already tried and tested in various working conditions (quarries, aggregate treatment plants and waste treatment for the reduction of odours, working stone, tunnels, etc.) has been validated, among others, by the Network Italiano Silice (Italian Silica Network) for working stone and in the building of tunnels.
The touch screen panel on the control board allows easy and intuitive management of the V3 aerosol generator. The most suitable work mode can be selected thanks to the software developed by MD-ECO. A complete range of accessories is offered by MD-ECO to make the V3 aerosol generator adaptable to customer needs:
- radio-control, for remote management of the fan;
- wall bracket, for best use in closed environments;
- lifting forks, for transport via fork lift truck;
- two-wheel trolley, for easy re-positioning;
- automatic swinging kit, to maximise the work area;
- proportional dosing device, for use with additives.

What is it
It is made up from a system of nozzles with hole dimensions of 0.2 to 0.5 mm and fed by a high pressure pump (from 50 to 90 bar). Very fine drops of water are generated in this way (aerosol), which disperse into the air, thus covering a large area. Much less water is therefore consumed and a great number of dust particles are captured at the same time without creating puddles.
How
Installation is very easy, the machine is inspected and tested completely in the factory. The machine is practically available in three versions:
- fixed machine installed on bracket, normally in high position in sheds
- transportable fixed machine, fitted with cement base with holes for the passage of forks for transport via fork lift truck
- mobile machine installed on 2-wheel trolley to facilitate movement to the working points of interest
